October 15th, 2008is it illegal to give paychecks out earlier then the actual payday?
Is it illegal if your payday is on a friday and you receive the paycheck on Thursday? If so what is the ramification of that? what could you be held liable for?

absolutely nothing. Only problem could be if the checks are dated for Friday. The bank might not cash them until Friday.

It’s legal and the bank will need at least one day to cash your check anyway.

Not illegal, but it shouldn’t be cashed before the date on the check. many co’s use a payroll service, and there may not be any cash in this account before the date on the check.
