August 8th, 2008payday cash advance and wage garnishment?
I took out a payday cash advance and alot happened and could not pay it back and they cashed my check. I did not have the money in the bank and the company sent me a letter stating if I could not come up with the money within 3 days they were taking a lien out on me. I called to set up payment plan and they would not except. They wanted half or all of it or they would garnish my wages. I owe them 600.00 dollars. I told them I could give them $200.00 now and at least $100.00 every two weeks if not more until paid off and they said no they were going to garnish. I told them by the time this went through the courts I could have their money to them and they refused. Would I have to appear in court before they started the wage garnishment or can they just start garnishing my wages without me going to court? I would love to go to court with the money and tell the judge that I tried to pay them and work out something but they would not listen. I live in Ohio.

Be careful if you decide to apply for an online payday loan. Each state has different regulations, and I’m not familiar with the Ohio rules and regulations. Try contacting a local payday loan office so you can get help before taking out the loan.
