TOMORROW a panel of experts will sit down to consider the first applications for job creation grants of up to £5,000 per job, under the second instalment of a popular Furness programme. The first four applications, from existing firms in the Barrow and Ulverston areas, could create 42 new jobs between them, but by the time the latest £2m instalment of government grant is used up over the next three years it should have helped in the creation of 460 new jobs.
