County employees received their monthly paychecks a day later than usual after printing glitches and a cash shortage waylaid them, angering many county employees. Donna Jamison, county clerk, indicated Tuesday that computer problems and an emergency county commissioner meeting to approve additional funding were the reasons for the delay. She said the county commissioners had to call an emergency meeting after the regular meeting Monday in order to approve a money transfer. She added that it is impossible to get the timesheets in on Friday and then have the payroll ready on Monday when she has to wait until the Monday commissioner meeting for payroll approval. District 2 County Commissioner Steve Carter and District 1 County Commissioner Bruce Tabor both said that timesheets are turned in the week prior to payday.
